The Scott County Sheriff’s Office will have its eighth annual youth catfish tournament starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4.

The event will end with an awards ceremony at approximately 4 p.m. at the Scott County fairgrounds, but most of the day will be spent on the Minnesota River.Top prizes will be awarded, and all participants will receive a prize. Fishing gear and other supplies will be provided for free. To register, call the Scott County Sheriff's Office at (952) 496-8322 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Applications will be accepted through July 31 or until all spots are filled. Space is limited to 50 participants.
