A co-worker pointed out that it may not be a mole, afterall. She suggested since my yard isn't torn up (yet) that it may have been a vole. (see vole info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vole).

I dislike all little rodents, either way (mole or vole). I love the line from "Sex and the City" when Carrie says that squirrels are just rats in cuter outfits.

I spotted a mole in my backyard this weekend (strangely enough). I'd never seen one before. It was a rather goofy looking little critter. I suppose now I'll have mole problems, too. Are moles more active in the fall?

The problem is that these guys are hard to see in action. You can sit outside all day and night with your foam hammer and never get a whack. But that tremors line can be found pushed up in the yard without fail.
