The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community will have its annual pow wow Friday through Sunday, Aug. 15-17, on the pow wow grounds on Dakotah Parkway, south of County Road 42 between county roads 83 and 17. The pow wow will include dance contests, food, fireworks, games, giveaways and a flag raising. Grand entry is set for 7 p.m. Friday, 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
