The city has hired Jerilyn Erickson of Lonsdale as its new finance director.

EricksonErickson will start on Monday, Oct. 6. She will replace Finance Director Ralph Teschner, who is retiring after 31 years with the city.

Erickson spent the last seven years working for the city of Burnsville as accounting manager and the previous seven years doing accounting for the city of Northfield.

Erickson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration/finance from Mankato State University and will complete her master’s degree at the University of St. Thomas in business administration/management in 2009. She also is a certified public accountant.
