The fourth Dakotah! Sport and Fitness Lakefront Days Triathlon held on Aug. 1 at Cleary Lake Regional Park drew about 300 participants from the surrounding area for a ¼ mile swim, 13.5 mile bike ride and 3.3 mile run.
The event was part of the Lakefront Days celebration. The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community co-sponsored the event along with the City of Prior Lake, the Three Rivers Park District and Cleary Lake Regional Park.
Andy Schiesl, 32, of Prior Lake takes the final turn in the bicycle portion of the Lakefront Triathlon at Cleary Lake Regional Park on Saturday morning. Schiesl finished the triathlon first overall completing a 1/4 mile swim, 13.5 mile bike and 3.3 mile run in 1:04:18. Look for more photos from the triathlon online later this week.
