The Prior Lake girls cross country team finished seventh at the 25-team Milaca Mega Meet on Sept. 20.
The ninth-ranked Lakers had team total of 167 points, 45 points behind champion Stillwater Area (122). Moorhead, ranked No. 12, was third (132), followed by No. 7 Woodbury (138), Coon Rapids (154), West Fargo (159) and Minot, N.D. (162).
Ninth-grader Taylor Scholl led the Lakers on the 4,000-meter course taking ninth overall with a time of 15 minutes, 29.6 seconds. Junior Paige Foster was 20th (15:46.0), followed by sophomore Grace Chandler (40th, 16:19.2), ninth-grader Madison Lesmeister (44th, 16:22.8) and eighth-grader Emily Stock (54th, 16:30.5).
Senior Jessica Zwanziger (83rd, 16:56.0) and junior Kalyn Casey (140th, 18:16.5) rounded out the Lakers' top seven.
Meanwhile, the Laker boys team finished 23rd with 598 points. Ninth-ranked White Bear Lake won the title (115 points), followed by No. 4 Moorhead (119).
Senior Robert Gorycki led the Lakers on the 5,000-meter course taking 63rd overall (17:49.9). Junior Justin Schlitz was 83rd (18:19.5), followed by Junior Alex Card (146th, 20:25.0), senior Mike Dybvkik (148th, 20:29.7), senior Ethan Ruesink (158th, 21:29.4), senior Dimitri Angelo (160th, 23:07.0) and senior Dan Koutsky (161st, 23:07.4).
Both Laker teams will return to the trails on Monday, Sept. 22 at the Hutchinson Invitational at 4:30 p.m.
