When the property value for Ed Chapman’s home along the Minnesota River in rural Jordan kept rising by double digits, he only wanted an explanation.

Tears will be shed again this fall in hopes of reaching Prior Lake High School freshmen.
Dorothy Nicholas, a ninth-grade health and physical education teacher, will share her personal story and information about depression and suicide with freshmen.
Fourth-grader Alex Sexton of Prior Lake reels in fish with her Five Hawks Elementary classmates Friday at Lakefront Park. It was Sexton's first time fishing, and she was proud to have caught 13 sunnies by the afternoon. "It's pretty easy when you use meal worms," she said. The school partnered with the Department of Natural Resources Fisheries to teach students about water safety, the water cycle and fishing. About 120 students hiked to the park for the full-day event.
