The Scott County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility and RE-USE Room will be closed on Saturday, August 30th, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday Weekend. They will reopen for normal operation on Wednesday, September 3rd.
The Scott County HHW Facility and RE-USE Room are located at 588 Country Trail East (Hwy 282) in Spring Lake Township, just ½ miles west of the intersection of MN Highways 13 and 282 and County Road 17. The HHW Facility provides an opportunity for proper management and disposal of hazardous household chemicals (such as paint, stain, varnish, paint strippers, solvents, pesticides, automotive chemicals, household cleaning chemicals, used fluorescent bulbs, etc), while the RE-USE Room contains hundreds of usable products that are available for free!
The HHW Facility is normally open on Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The RE-USE Room is open on those same days, but it does close 15 minutes earlier than the HHW Facility.
