Father Mark F. Mindrup, OFM Conventual, 96, of Prior Lake, died Dec. 8, 2009 at St. Gertrude Health Center in Shakopee, after suffering a second stroke on Dec. 4.

Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Community, 901 East 90th Street, Bloomington. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Bonaventure.

Another Vigil will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec.13 in the Chapel at Mount St. Francis, IN. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place in the Chapel at Mount St. Francis on Monday, Dec. 14 at 11:45 a.m.

Crystal Wangerin and Douglas Derendal were married Aug. 21, 2009 at The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake.

The VFW and its women’s auxiliary will sponsor contests for youth in the coming month.

The contests are: Patriot’s Pen for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students; and Voice of Democracy and Patriotic Art for students in ninth through 12th grades.

Flyers explaining the theme of the individual programs will be made available to the schools or may be obtained through the Prior Lake VFW, 16306 Main Ave.

Enter the contests at the VFW; the deadline for entry is Sunday, Nov. 1.
